Halcyon is the upcoming second studio album by English recording artist Ellie Goulding. It is set for release in the United Kingdom on 8 October 2012 by Polydor Records. It will be preceded by the lead single "Anything Could Happen" on 21 August 2012. Goulding wrote and co-produced all the tracks on the album in her home town in the Hay Valley, West England. The actual recording of the tracks was completed in a converted barn with producer Jim Eliot, of Kish Mauve (also known for his work with Kylie Minogue and Ladyhawke). Goulding stated "This album for me is a journey from dark into light from confusion to understanding"; "I didn't set out to write a break-up record but I think it became one." Elena Jane "Ellie" Goulding (born 30 December 1986) is an English singer-songwriter. In 2010, she became the second artist to both top the BBC's annual Sound of... poll and win the Critics' Choice Award at.
